● Mail Service for Tax Refund Check
This service has been created as a convenience for taxpayers who have filed their individual income tax return with the Taipei National Tax Administration and are eligible for a tax refund in accordance with the Income Tax Act of the ROC.
Steps in requesting the use of the service:
(1) Before stating, please use the
Online Refund Inquiry Service
to learn the status of your refund. Once it is indicated that it is available for you to collect, please proceed to (2).
(2) Please input your personal details as required in the entry boxes in the table below, and click “Submit” after all information is correctly inputted.
(3) After a message from the system indicates that your submission has been accepted, an application form will appear on the screen. Thereafter, you can choose to take one of the following actions:
a. Click “Print” to print out the application form, or
b. Click “Save” to download the application form as a txt file for later use;
(4) Please send the documentation listed below to the Foreign Taxpayers' Section either by letter to No. 2, Sec. 1, Jhonghua Road, Taipei or by fax to 886-2-23891051 within three days from the date of your submission.
a. The application form produced by this system on which your proper signature is also made,
b. A photocopy of your valid ARC, and
c. A photocopy of the page(s) in your passport bearing your personal details and signature.
(5) Your refund check will be sent by a registered mail to you at the address that is given on your valid ARC within seven working days, since both of your documentation and the status of your tax refund need to be reviewed by this administration.
